Η επιτυχία στην ζωή είναι ένας συνδυασμός από σκληρή δουλειά και ευκαιρίες που αρπάζει κανείς την στιγμή που παρουσιάζονται.

Δήλωσα έτσι συμμέτοχη στο MIT Bootcamp on Innovation & Entrepreneurship, ένα εντατικό πρόγραμμα 7 ήμερων (15 ώρες/μερα) με σκοπό την εκπαίδευση των συμμετεχόντων στην επίλυση προβλημάτων που αντιμετωπίζουν στις κοινότητες τους, μέσω της καινοτομικής επιχειρηματικότητας.

ΔΕΙΓΜΑ ΠΡΟΓΡΑΜΜΑΤΟΣ

Στο πρόγραμμα έχουν συμμετάσχει 381 άτομα από 70+ χώρες, από τα οποία έχουν ξεκινήσει παραπάνω από 100 εταιρίες, συγκεντρώνοντας κεφάλαιο της τάξης των $36.000.000.

Πριν λίγες μέρες συνέβη το αφάνταστο, ενημερώθηκα ότι ανήκω στο 5% αυτών που γίνονται αποδεκτοί. Από την αρχή ήξερα ότι η οικογένεια μου, όντας συνταξιούχοι, αδυνατούν να υποστηρίξουν οικονομικά αυτή την προσπάθεια.

Κόστος:

Πρόγραμμα: $6.000

Αεροπορικά Εισιτήρια: ~ $1.500**

Διαμονή: ~ $300**

** Καθώς πλησιάζει η ημερομηνία του προγράμματος, το κόστος πιθανώς να διαφέρει. Επίσης, η πλατφόρμα και το paypal έχουν χρεώσεις ~ 7-8%, έτσι έχω ως στόχο ένα ανώτερο ποσό ωστέ να τα καλύψω όλα αυτά. Σε περίπτωση που υπολείπονται χρήματα μετά το ταξίδι, δεσμεύομαι να τα δωρήσω σε σκοπό που θα συν-αποφασιστεί μέσα απο την σελίδα μου.

Αποφάσισα όμως ότι δεν θα αφήσω την ευκαιρία αυτή να περάσει.

Έτσι απευθύνομαι στο κοινό και σε εταιρίες, για να συγκεντρώσω το απαιτούμενο ποσό (crowdfunding).

Τόσο το ταξίδι όσο και την καμπάνια αυτή, θα την καταγράψω στην σελίδα μου στο facebook και στο instagram. Θέλω αυτή την εμπειρία να την μοιραστώ με όσο το δυνατόν περισσότερο κόσμο και να τον παρακινήσω να προσπαθεί παρά τις δυσκολίες.

Θα έλεγε κανείς ότι είναι μια ευκαιρία ζωής.

Όμως δεν θέλω η εμπειρία αυτή και η γνώση να περιοριστεί σε εμένα, έτσι μέσα στον χρόνο θέλω να δομήσω ένα απολύτως δωρεάν εκπαιδευτικό πρόγραμμα βασισμένο στο MIT Bootcamp.

Το πρόγραμμα αυτό θα μπορούσε να ανήκει έτσι στην παγκόσμια κοινότητα του MIT Bootcamp, με πλήθος Bootcamp coaches, MIT faculty αλλά και Βootcamp participants που θα μπορούσουν να λειτουργήσουν ως εισηγητές, μέντορες, κλπ.

• θα εκπαιδευτεί  ένας μεγάλος αριθμός νέων, αυξάνοντας εκθετικά την επίπτωση του προγράμματος στην τοπική κοινότητα

• Η ύλη θα καλύπτει 5 βασικές θεματικές:

  • Εύρεση προβλήματος & γέννηση ιδέας

  • Δυναμική ομάδων & διαχείριση συγκρούσεων

  • Κατανοώντας εις βάθος τον πελάτη

  • Προϊόν

  • Επιχειρηματικά μοντέλα, λήψη αποφάσεων, κ.α

• Θα δοθεί βαρύτητα στην συνεργασία με το οικοσύστημα:

  • Συνεργασία με φορείς που ασχολούνται με την καινοτομία και την επιχειρηματικότητα στην ευρύτερη περιοχή

  • Συνεργασία με τοπικές καινοτομικές επιχειρήσεις, επίλυση πραγματικών προβλημάτων και προκλήσεων, γνωριμία του οικοσυστήματος με την φοιτητική κοινότητα.

Στόχος μου είναι το πρόγραμμα αυτό να τους εισάγει στον κόσμο της καινοτομίας και επιχειρηματικότητας περντώντας από όλα τα στάδια μιας εταιρίας, από την γέννηση της ιδέας έως την βιωσιμότητα της επιχείρησης.

Ακόμα, το πρόγραμμα θα το χαρακτηρίζει έντονα η εξωστρέφεια, καθώς η επαφή με την παγκόσμια κοινότητα του MIT Bootcamp θα εισάγει τους συμμετέχοντες σε νέους τρόπους σκέψεις και μια διαφορετική κουλτούρα.

They say that success is a combination of hard work and opportunities that you take advantage of.

With that in mind, I applied at the MIT Bootcamp on Innovation & Entrepreneurship, an intensive 7 day program(15 hours/day) that challenges participants to develop a sustainable new venture in a week and solve problems that they face in their communities.

SAMPLE SCHEDULE

There are 381 Boot Camp participants from 70+ countries. Collectively they have launched over a 100 new ventures raising over $36 million.

A couple of days ago, something completely unexpected happened.  I belonged to the admitted 5%. I knew from the beginning that my parents, being pensioners, are unable to support financially this endeavour.

Cost:

• Program: $6.000

• Travel expenses: ~ $1.500 **

• Accommodation: ~$300**

**As we approach the date of the bootcamp, these prices might differ. Moreover, this platform and paypal have a 7-8% fee. Thus I have set a goal that is higher than the ammount that I will need in order to cover for these costs. Should there is money left after this experience, I commit to donate them to a cause that will be determined from my page.

I was determined that I wouldn’t waste this opportunity . Thus, I turned to sponsorships and a crowdfunding campaign to gather the needed amount.

By supporting me financially, in any amount you can commit, you help me substantially in my quest for constant and quality education. Moreover, by sharing this mail,you will greatly enhance my possibilities for a successful campaign.

I intend to document the journey at my facebook and instagram page. I want to share my story with as many people as possible, to motivate them to fight no matter the odds.

More importantly, over the next year I am determined to organise a free educational program based on MIT Bootcamp.

This series of workshops could belong to the global community of MIT Bootcamp, alongside an array of Bootcamp coaches, MIT faculty and Bootcamp participants that could get involved as mentors, coaches, speakers, etc.

• The curiculum will cover 5 distinct areas:
  • Problem identification & Idea generation
  • Team dynamics
  • Understanding the Consumer
  • Product & how to find the suitable market
  • Business models, strategies, etc.
• Cooperation with institutions and organisations that are involved in the innovation and startup local ecosystem 
• Cooperation with local innovative enterprises & startups, real scenarios & challenges, mentors

This way, a large number of young people will be trained, increasing significantly the impact of the Bootcamp on the local community.

My goal for this educational program is to introduce students and young people to innovation and entrepreneurship using the tools of MIT bootcamp in conjuction with the unique experience and culture that come with it.

About me..

My name is Odysseas Lamtzidis, I was born in New Smyrni, Athens, Greece. I am 22 and I study Electrical Engineering & Computer Science at the University of Patras. From my freshman’s year I have been an active member of various student organisations. I soon arrived at the conclusion that the student community lacked the culture of creativity (making) and entrepreneurship. I thus contacted Mindspace and decided to start its chapter at Patras. We presented entrepreneurship as an option to students, we motivated them to materialise their business ideas and we pushed them to overcome their fears.

Not long ago, my tenure as operations officer ended, leaving behind a chapter that reached 11 members, organised a large number of events, was financed by the university and is now designing the very first student innovation hub.

Moreover, I study french and I am an avid maker. I have automated my house using various IoT technologies and open source projects. This project was published as a paper at ECESCON 10 (electrical engineering students conference) and at FOSSCOM 2017. On top of that, I am actively researching as part of my diploma thesis, mainly on Blockchain and Internet of Things.

Finally, I am an amateur Kick-Boxer and try to maintain a healthy and vivid social life. I believe that both are critical for success and help to cope with stress in your business life.
