Ο εξοπλισμός αυτός είναι ζωτικής σημασίας καθώς σε κάποιες περιπτώσεις λόγω της βαρύτητας της κατάστασης απαιτείται διασωλήνωση και μεταφορά του παιδιού σε Μονάδα Εντατικής Νοσηλείας Παίδων.

Δυστυχώς όμως τέτοια μονάδα δεν υπάρχει στη Θεσσαλία και αναγκαστικά πολλά παιδιά διακομίζονται σε Αθήνα και Θεσσαλονίκη χωρίς τον κατάλληλο αναπνευστήρα, αλλά με χρήση ambu, με ότι αυτό συνεπάγεται.

Ας φροντίσουμε λοιπόν εμείς για την ασφάλεια των παιδιών μας!

Στο Τμήμα Επειγόντων Περιστατικών του Γ.Ν. Λάρισας προσκομίζονται ετησίως περίπου 7.500 παιδιά!

Λίγα λόγια για το Σωματείο μας…

Η “Αντιμετώπιση Παιδικού Τραύματος” έχει ως σκοπό την μείωση των παιδικών ατυχημάτων, την άμεση και σωστή αντιμετώπιση των παιδικών τραυματισμών και την αναβάθμιση της νοσηλείας των παιδιών στη χώρα μας.

Όραμα μας είναι η αναβάθμιση και ο εξοπλισμός όλων των Παιδιατρικών Τμημάτων των Νοσοκομείων στην Ελλάδα και των Κέντρων Υγείας των νησιών μας!

Από το 2010 μέχρι σήμερα έχουν επωφεληθεί από το έργο μας πάνω από 340.000 παιδιά.

Τα ατυχήματα δυστυχώς είναι η πρώτη αιτία θανάτου παιδιών στη χώρα μας. Σύμφωνα με τη Στατιστική Υπηρεσία, περίπου 500.000 παιδιά τραυματίζονται στην Ελλάδα κάθε χρόνο. Από αυτά, τα 700 πεθαίνουν ενώ 3.000 μένουν ανάπηρα.

Τα τελευταία επτά χρόνια προσπαθούμε να αλλάξουμε αυτά τα δεδομένα με τους εξής τρόπους:

α) Αναβαθμίζοντας και εξοπλίζοντας με τα απαραίτητα μηχανήματα Παιδιατρικά Τμήματα και Ιατρεία σε Νοσοκομεία και Κέντρα Υγείας.

β) Εκπαιδεύοντας γιατρούς, νοσηλευτές και διασώστες του ΕΚΑΒ στην άμεση και σωστή αντιμετώπιση των τραυματισμένων παιδιών. Μέχρι σήμερα έχουν εκπαιδευτεί 1.389 γιατροί, νοσηλευτές και διασώστες του ΕΚΑΒ.

γ) Ενημερώνοντας παιδιά, εκπαιδευτικούς και γονείς για το πώς μπορούν να αναγνωρίζουν τους κινδύνους και πώς να τους αποφεύγουν. Τις παρουσιάσεις μας για την Πρόληψη των Παιδικών Ατυχημάτων έχουν παρακολουθήσει 41.720 παιδιά και 3.040 εκπαιδευτικοί και γονείς. Έχει διαπιστωθεί ότι η σωστή ενημέρωση μπορεί να μειώσει τον αριθμό και την σοβαρότητα των ατυχημάτων έως και 50%.

Πιο συγκεκριμένα αναβαθμίσαμε και εξοπλίσαμε 33 Τμήματα σε 28 Νοσοκομεία:

• Δημιουργήσαμε και εξοπλίσαμε 15 Τμήματα Επειγόντων Περιστατικών στα Δημόσια Νοσοκομεία.
• Αναβαθμίσαμε 12 Παιδιατρικές Κλινικές.
• Αναβαθμίσαμε 3 Παιδιατρικά Ιατρεία.
• Αναβαθμίσαμε 3 Μονάδες Εντατικής Θεραπείας / ΜΑΦ Νεογνών.
• Προσφέραμε 547 μηχανήματα και εξοπλισμό σε Παιδιατρικά Τμήματα Νοσοκομείων.
  

Το συνολικό ύψος του έργου μας από τον Μάιο του 2010 μέχρι σήμερα ανέρχεται στο ποσό των € 1.594.702.

Σε περίπτωση που το ποσό που συγκεντρωθεί υπερβαίνει το ποσό των 6.800 ευρώ, τα υπόλοιπα χρήματα θα χρησιμοποιηθούν για άλλες άμεσες ανάγκες. 


 

Help us offer a portable respirator to the General Hospital of Larissa!

We ask for your support in order to purchase the necessary equipment for the Trauma Center in the General Hospital of Larissa. The equipment which is urgently needed is a portable paramagnetic respirator for children.

This equipment is vital because in some cases, due to the gravity of the situation it is necessary to transfer the child to a Children's Intensive Care Unit.

Unfortunately, such a unit does not exist in Thessaly and many children have to be moved to Athens and Thessaloniki without the proper ventilator, but with the use of an ambu, with all the risks this entails.

It is up to us to take care of our children!

Every year approximately 7.500 children are transferred to the Trauma Center of the General Hospital of Larissa!

A few words about our Charity…

Pediatric Trauma Care is a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded in Athens, in November 1995, by a small group of doctors and parents. Its sole purpose is to raise awareness on children’s accidents in Greece, to reduce their number and severity, and to improve care once an accident has occurred. 

Our goal today is to upgrade all the Pediatric Departments of the General Hospitals and the Health Centers throughout Greece!

From 2010 up to the present date over 340.000 children have benefited from our Charity.

Statistics show that up to 500,000 children are injured every year through car accidents, falls, burns, drowning, electrocution and poisoning. About 700 of these accidents are fatal and roughly 3000 of them end in some form of permanent disability.

Pedtrauma is making a great effort to change the above statistics through the implementation of the following:

a) By upgrading and equipping the Pediatric Departments and Clinics of the Hospitals and the Health Centers with the necessary machinery.

b) By financing seminars where specialized doctors train surgeons, doctors, nurses, and Ambulance Paramedics on how to help the injured children the fastest and best way possible. We have already managed to train 1.389 doctors and nurses.

c) By educating children on trauma prevention. In particular, we visit schools and talk to children, teachers and parents on how to prevent accidents from happening. To date we have spoken to  41.720 children and 3.040 teachers and parents. It has been statistically proven that by introducing Trauma Prevention into schools the number and severity of accidents occurring has been reduced by up to 50%.

More specifically we have managed to upgrade and equip 33 Departments in 28 Hospitals / Trauma Centers:

• Trauma Centers: We created and equipped 15.
• Pediatric Departments: We have upgraded 12.
• Pediatric Clinics: We have upgraded 3.
• Intensive Care Units / Neonatal ICU: We have upgraded 3.
• We have offered 547 machines and equipment to the Hospitals’ Pediatric Departments.

The total cost of our project from May 2010 amounts to € 1.594.702.
