HISTORY
•The year 1996 was a time when a lot of Africans trooped in to Greece from all over the world. To create an atmosphere where these Africans could come to gather, share ideas, discuss issues and enjoy an African meal, Omoh Lawani, my brother opened a small but comfortable restraurant at Geraniou street 14, Omonia Square. This restaurant aimed at providing the atmosphere mentioned earlier as well as inviting other nationals who were interested in the Nigerian cuisine. 
 
•A few years later, Omoh Lawani left Greece and handed the business over to me. I successfully maintained the business until in 2005 when l was physically attacked. This chaotic incident involving broken bottle and almost cost me one of my eyes. This accident led to my decision to relocate the restaurant to another environment in Victoria square. Unfortunately, due to bureaucracy of paper work/license that took over two years the restaurant was not re-opened in a timely manner which negatively affected the volume of sales and customers. It became a struggle to sustain the business with the steady decline in growth; in 2012, the store became bankrupt and had to be closed. This closure was devastating to me, the customers and the community of immigrants that had come to rely on the store for food. 
 
•As I walk around the city every day, the pain of losing the store – a store that was very precious to me - is still very raw in my heart. In addition, the lack of an atmosphere just like what I created and maintained  through the store – a place for Africans to gather, share ideas, discuss issues and share African cuisines – creates a hunger and drive to re-create my store. The vision will also take advantage of the Globalization of the cultures within Greece and include Cuisines from other nations on to the menu. This way, the store would have a diverse group of people, share ideas, discussing solutions to issues and sharing meals.
 
• Day and night I visualize and imagine how amazing this second chance would be, to re-create my store and fuel it with my passion to care and fed people. With excitement and through the internet, I discovered funding clubs.  It is my sincere desire that these clubs are able to work with me to resurrect my store for the good of Athens, Greece and all that reside in it. 
 
MISSION
•Our mission is simple, to promote and provide our traditional  food especially Nigerian cuisine in the Greek society and Europe in general for all walks of life in the most affordable price.
 
VISION
•To assure that all kind of people can have access to our traditional food, through our restaurant
•Our traditional cuisine, to be the well known and a part of weekly food programme of all Athens citizens
 
Why Rita's Restaurant ?
•Rita believes for sure, that she can make a difference in the lives of people through food, at affordable price for all categories people – whether immigrants, permanent residences or tourists
•All dishes will be cooked with products from a local stores of meat, vegetables etc, and with first quality
•Rita’s will be in main road location, for being known via signs and easy to be found

From  100euros above, get all of the aforementioned reward and have their name engraved on a special plague inside RITAS FOOD FOR ALL RESTAURANT.
